IEP Boot Camp (K-12)

This workshop will be held at Wolf Branch Middle School (library) 410 Huntwood Rd. Swansea, IL 62226.  Does writing IEPs feel like a daunting task? In this session, we will navigate the entire process of writing an IEP from start to finish. Teachers in K-12 will learn exactly what information should go in a PLAFFP, how to write meaningful and measurable goals, how to select appropriate accommodations and modifications, how to monitor and report students’ progress, and more. Special educators Cassie Downs (Whiteside # 115) and Nikki Green (BASSC) will guide you through each important IEP component.  We’ll also go over tips and tricks to help you confidently convey this information to the IEP team during the meeting. This session is for novice special education teachers, or any teacher who is feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about any part of the IEP process.
