Objective: To assist in the daily operation and organization of the district through performing Special Education and Business Office Functions
Training and Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; postsecondary degree and/or related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Aptitude, skills, knowledge, and experience in special education, accounting, bookkeeping, and technology preferred
- Established and proficient ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and precision with all tasks
- Efficient, accommodating demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to effectively work with employees, students, and families
- Willingness to assume additional duties during high demands
- Effective at working under pressure
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills
- Must possess personal fitness sufficient to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Supervised by: Director of Finance/Director of Special Services
General Responsibilities:
- Facilitate food service program, including processing free and reduced lunch forms, state/federal reporting, and lunch bank account reconciliation
- Perform account coding and data entry of district revenues/receipts; maintain receipt records
- Assist with student fee management and general accounting functions
- Manage and reconcile Revtrak online payment operations and bank account
- Manage district facility rental process
- Administer record retention program for the district
- Maintain district credit card records
- Administer MAC quarterly reporting and Medicaid claims
- Manage iSTAR Special Education system
- Complete state, federal, and grant reporting for Special Education services
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary for this position is $18.50/hour. This position is eligible for medical/dental/vision/life insurance benefits and paid time-off. This position will participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
