Supervised By: District Superintendent and Principal

General Responsibilities:

1. Be directly responsible to the principal and the superintendent.
2. Be “student centered” and shall work toward The OTHS Way and Excellence in Education for Every Student Everyday.
3. Administer disciplinary program and attendance reporting for assigned portion of the student population.
4. Attend School Board meetings when requested by the principal and/or the superintendent.
5. Perform student supervision at academic, athletic, and extracurricular events as assigned.
6. Provides leadership for the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the educational program as assigned.
7. Evaluate teaching staff and participate in “walk-through” visits as assigned.
8. Evaluate support staff as assigned.
9. Participate in the supervision of custodial/maintenance/security personnel.
10. Participate in meetings of the Department Chairs, Academic Excellence Team, Administrative Team, SOS (Staff Offering Support), and others requiring administrative leadership as requested.
11. Assist superintendent and principal in recruitment and staffing of personnel as assigned.
12. Participate in the review of the Student Handbook and district policies, and shall make suggestions to add, delete and/or modify policies and procedures as needed.
13. Work with other members of the administrative team to jointly oversee and evaluate the ACR (Alternative Classroom) program and Lunch Detention program at OTHS-Smiley.
14. Other duties as assigned as determined by the Superintendent and Principal.

Training and Qualifications:

Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative Endorsement-formerly a Type 75 certificate.
