Description
O’Fallon Township High School is seeking social work interns for the 2024-2025 school year. The term of the internship will be for the complete 2024-25 school year. This position involves working a minimum of 3 days a week. In this position you will get experience at both our 9th grade campus and 10th-12th grade campus. In addition, there will be opportunities to shadow elementary social workers in their districts. Duties include, but are not limited to, individual counseling and group counseling with regular and special education students, contact with parents, consultations with teachers, writing of IEP goals and objectives, and participation in department and staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
• Complete all university program requirements to successfully complete internship experience.
• Enrolled in an accredited Master’s degree school social work program.
• Enrolled in an internship class with a university program advisor.
Compensation
The social work intern will receive a stipend based upon the number of days working. 3 days would be $6,000. 4 days would be $8,000 and 5 days $10,000.
Interviews will be conducted in February-March timeframe.
