RE: Social Worker/School Counselor
Freeburg C.C.S.D. #70 is seeking a Social Worker/School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. This individual will provide comprehensive support to students, addressing social and emotional challenges that may hinder their success. They will apply counseling theories and techniques to assist students in crisis or those facing ongoing difficulties.
Additionally, this role includes responding to crisis situations by coordinating with outside resources, conducting evaluations, delivering social-emotional learning instruction, and providing services for students with individualized education plans. Collaborating with staff to enhance the educational experience and advocating for students’ needs are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications: Salary based on negotiated contract. The salary schedule and benefits can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Freeburg C.C.S.D. #70 and the Freeburg Elementary Teachers’ Association.
