Part Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Position Belleville District 118

Belleville District 118 seeking a COTA who is passionate about working with children and adolescents, possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and supportive school community. The successful candidate will work closely under the supervision of our OTs, assisting with the implementation of treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, documenting student progress, and collaborating with teachers.

Key Responsibilities will include:  Assisting OTs in the delivery of occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs.
Implementing individualized and group therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to reports.
Collaborating with OTs, teachers, and other school personnel to support student goals.
Preparing and maintaining therapy materials and equipment.
Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:  Associate’s degree from an accredited COTA program.
Current and valid COTA license in Illinois.
Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of child development and common pediatric diagnoses.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay:  $33.25/hour
