Social Worker Symposium: Supporting K-12 Students in Crisis: The Who, How, When, Where & Why of Referring to Higher Levels of Care (Virtual)

Join Jenny Finnerman LCSW and Sarah Pritz Shields M.Ed. of Compass Health Center in this session that will describe indicators of higher levels of care likely to be observed in a school setting. Jenny and Sarah will also highlight high risk populations, possible interventions and ways to support students and their families across K-12 settings. This will include a discussion on PHP/IOP levels of care.
Attendees will be able to identify indicators of crises across the K-12 developmental continuum
Attendees will have increased awareness of higher risk populations in the school setting
Attendees will have knowledge of higher levels of care including PHP/IOP
Attendees will be better able to help students and their families access appropriate mental health support
