“College Or Prison” How to Keep At-Risk Students Engaged in The Classroom And Out of Trouble (K-12)

FreeMany K-12 students are at high risk for social and academic failure. This training will educate K-12 professional staff and administrators on the real facts and best practices for educating and keeping at-risk students out of trouble in today’s society. In this session, participants will learn:
- The characteristics of a high-risk youth for academic failure/incarceration
- How to keep at-risk students focused on education and avoid the dropout trap
- 15 DO’s & DON’TS for High Classroom Performance
- How to improve classroom performance of at-risk students
- How to encourage unmotivated students
- How to address to behavioral issues
- Why many girls are displaying more aggressive negative behavior patterns
- How to get at-risk students started in the college/post-secondary process
This training will teach how to give at-risk students their best chance to go onto post-secondary education and avoid the pipeline prison.
