This session will be held at BASSC in the boardroom (2411 Pathways Crossing Belleville).  In this workshop, special educators Cassie Downs and Michael Downs will share the causes of escalation in the K-12 classroom and de-escalation strategies that can be implemented within your environment.  We will focus on understanding the behavior behind the escalation, and discuss how to respond in order to shorten the intensity and duration of the escalation.
