This course is designed to increase the participant’s ability to identify and effectively
respond to domestic sex trafficking. The audience will gain knowledge of the most
common recruitment dynamics and relational dynamics such as strategic grooming.
Attendees will learn how to apply this knowledge in effective trafficking response
strategies. The presenters will share through lessons learned through their experiences
in the field – both successes and mistakes. Risk factors for trafficking victims, demand
and typologies of offenders will also be discussed. Additional breakout sessions will include: Collaborative Response to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation 101 and Online Child Sexual Exploitation: Male Victims.
