Training/Qualifications/Skills:|
High School diploma required. Additional college coursework preferred.
Computer Skills- must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Word and Excel
Experience with Skyward student management system preferred
Must be able to multi-task

Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff (via phone, e-mail, office visit)
Prepare and compile data for the following Guidance Office functions/programs:  Illinois State Scholars, Honors Night, Graduation, Historical Black College Tour, Local Scholarship applications
Maintain student files, documents and records
Collect Senior Class data related to Honors Night and Graduation including scholarships offered, post-high school plans, etc.
Track and maintain lists of senior class including mid-term graduates; work closely with Principal and Main Office Support Personnel
Point of contact for Senior Class students/parents related to processing of transcripts, scholarships, letters of recommendation and other supplements, Service Academy nomination packets, and The Common Application
Responsible for processing Parchment transcript requests for all current students
Register/add new students in Skyward during school year and summer registration
Responsible for Summer School Registration process; work with Director of Guidance, Director of Curriculum and Assessment, and Principal
Maintain the Senior Scholarship Source on the Guidance Department webpage
Provide back up support to Guidance Secretary
Assist Guidance Counselors, Teachers, Administrators with miscellaneous requests
Perform other duties/functions as assigned by the Director of Guidance to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Guidance Office
