FLSA Status: Hourly
5.0 Hours per day
Split Shift: anticipated work hours from 6:30am-8:30am & 3:00pm-6:00pm Monday through Friday
Work Days: 176 day school year
Starting pay rate: $19.15 per hour
Position available for the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or qualified work experience accepted
- First Aid, AED and CPR certified

Daily Responsibilities
- The Extended Time Lead Supervisor offers children, who are usually ready for a little rest, relaxation and fun, a warm, safe environment outside of regular school hours, facilitates movement indoors and out, and prepares a healthy snack.
- Cleans work areas (e.g. classroom, storage, work tables, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining an orderly environment.
- Coordinates program activities (e.g. games, art, music, homework, etc.) for the purpose of addressing the individual and/or group needs of children.
- Evaluates situations (e.g. disciplinary problems, hazardous conditions, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Interacts with children in various activities (e.g. snack time, group or individual play, Homework Place, etc.) for the purpose of providing for a safe and positive learning environment.
- To ensure all children are signed in and are signed out by an authorized parent or nominated person.
- Communicate with parents on a regular basis through conversation, the logs and newsletters, for the purpose of exchanging information, maintaining a positive rapport and relationship between home and school
- Check all forms of communication before ASK begins daily – (phone, email, notes, etc.) to ensure your student list is up to date and correct.
- Report any concerns and questions regarding the program (students, parents, equipment needs, supplies, other staff, volunteers, etc.) to the administrator.
- If a child gets hurt, evaluates situation, provides first aid and contacts parents if needed. All injuries should be documented. Injuries or illness that are considered serious, should be communicated to the administrators right away regardless of time of day.
Business Responsibilities
- Collects fees from parents and maintains accurate records of fees collected.
- Maintains various records and files (e.g. enrollment, daily sign in/out log, invoices, receipts, account balances, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, meeting operational requirements and ensuring accurate documentation as required.
- Performs record keeping and clerical functions using programs such as Microsoft Excel (e.g. attendance, statistical and operational reports, library materials, scheduling, copying, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the teacher and/or administrator in providing necessary records/materials.
- Perform daily record keeping – maintaining each child’s account balance and promptly giving parents updated invoices. Maintain records of students who are chasi funded and fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner when prompted.
- Share account balance sheet with Administrators so they can view updated attendance and accounts at any time.
- Communicating monthly with the Business office/Building Financial Secretary regarding each individual’s’ account and statements.
- Keeps areas organized and has materials ready for students (e.g. games, art projects, etc.) for the purpose of providing for adequate preparation for activities.
- Purchase supplies for the ASK program that will be reimbursed via petty cash system or place a purchase order.
