Job Title: Food Service Cook
Reports To: Director of Food Services and Head Cook
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Days: 176 per school year
Buildings: Multiple locations available
Hours: 5.5 hours per day (start/end times determined by location assigned)
Pay: Beginning at $16.15 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
This position includes the sanitary preparation and service of nutritious food in an efficient manner to students and staff members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the serving line.
Fill the milk cooler.
Notify the supervisor when food, supplies and equipment are needed.
Take inventory and rotate stock
Operate dishwasher.
Prepare food according to recipes, menus and nutritional requirements.
Clean assigned areas.
Follow proper sanitation procedures.
Make suggestions for improvement to the supervisor.
Work cooperatively with others.
Other such duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in food preparation and service preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
